Speaking during a strategic stakeholders’ engagement session on Sunday, Turaki said the party has learned valuable lessons from its 2023 electoral outing and is now committed to rebuilding its internal structures, strengthening reconciliation, and positioning itself as a more united and competitive opposition force.
He noted that the ongoing restructuring includes harmonising party organs, reconciling aggrieved members, enhancing grassroots mobilisation, and updating policy frameworks to address the current socio-economic challenges facing Nigeria.
Turaki emphasised that reclaiming power in 2027 will require “discipline, unity, sacrifice, and renewed commitment” from leaders and members at all levels.
He urged PDP supporters nationwide to remain focused and continue mobilising ahead of the next electoral cycle, saying the party is determined to present a stronger alternative government to Nigerians.
Party officials who attended the session expressed optimism that the reforms would reposition the PDP for electoral success.
