The invitation, which also covers other senators, was contained in a personally signed letter from Akpoti-Uduaghan and read by Akpabio during Thursday’s plenary session.
According to the letter, the event is scheduled to hold on Sunday in Ihima, Kogi State, and will also commemorate Akpoti-Uduaghan’s second year in the Senate.
Observers say the move may mark a renewed sense of collaboration between the Senate President and the Kogi lawmaker, who have had strained relations in the past.
