The company’s General Manager of Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, disclosed this in a statement on Monday, explaining that the outage will begin on Tuesday, October 28, and run through Sunday, November 16, 2025.

According to TCN, the power interruption is due to ongoing road construction activities along the Kuje axis by the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), which will affect the 132kV Gwagwalada–Kukwaba–Apo double-circuit transmission line.

Affected areas include Apo, Lokogoma, Guzape, Asokoro, Wuye, Utako, Jabi, and Idu Industrial Layout.

TCN stated that the planned outage will be carried out in three phases to ensure safety and minimize inconvenience.

  1. Phase One: October 28 – November 2, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily
  2. Phase Two: November 6 – November 9, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily
  3. Phase Three: November 12 – November 16, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily

Mbah assured residents that power will be restored to affected areas at the end of each day’s work.

“The planned load management is to ensure the safety of all stakeholders and support the Federal Capital Development Authority’s ongoing road works,” she said.

The company apologized to residents for the inconvenience and appealed for understanding during the maintenance period.
