Call for Preventive Action

The Ministry advised state governments, local authorities, and disaster management agencies to act swiftly, stressing the need for proactive measures to minimize losses.

“Heavy rainfall is likely to occur in 15 states across the country between 24th and 28th September, 2025. This may lead to flooding in the listed locations and their environs. Stakeholders are therefore urged to take note of the warning, prepare adequately, and implement preventive actions,” the Centre stated.

With the rainy season approaching its peak, officials say early action could help reduce the human and economic cost of flooding.
