The Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency (ANSAA) has reiterated its position on the enforcement of political campaign regulations ahead of the November 8 governorship election in the state.

Speaking at a press conference in Awka, the agency’s Managing Director, Odili Ujubuonu, reaffirmed that all political parties are required to pay a mandatory campaign permit fee of ₦50 million to utilize outdoor advertising platforms. He noted that the agency remains committed to ensuring full compliance with the regulations.

According to Ujubuonu, five out of the 16 political parties contesting in the election have so far met the requirement and obtained valid permits. These include the Young Progressives Party (YPP), African Democratic Congress (ADC), Labour Party (LP), Action Alliance (AA), and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). He confirmed that these parties now enjoy unrestricted access to use billboards, banners, branded vehicles, and other approved outdoor campaign materials across the state.

Meanwhile, the agency disclosed that it has reported the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the police over alleged violations of the state’s Out-Of-Home campaign guidelines.
