INEC announced this update via its X handle on Friday.
The agency stated that online pre-registration for voters will begin on August 18 through its official portal, cvr.inecnigeria.org. In-person registration is set to start a week later, on August 25.
This registration will take place nationwide at all local government area offices and designated centers. INEC noted that the exercise will run from Monday to Friday, starting at 9 AM and concluding at 3 PM.
“Your votes start with registration. Don’t miss your opportunity to register,” the agency emphasized.
