On 7 March 2026, Johannesburg,
W.O.W Africa Convening in Johannesburg
Marks Launch of W.O.W Africa Magazine
and the W.O.W Africa Chamber 100
On 7 March 2026, Johannesburg hosted the W.O.W Africa 50 Women Honour Circle, amprivate, invitation-only convening recognising women whose leadership continues to shape
Africa’s economic, governance and entrepreneurial landscape.
The platform forms part of W.O.W Africa (Workshops of Wealth), a growing global–Pan-African leadership and capital platform founded by Lelo N, entrepreneur, Pan-African capital architect and founder of Workshops of Wealth.
The gathering brought together an influential group of leaders from across Africa and the global diaspora whose work spans enterprise, investment, governance, law and continental
development.
Among those recognised were Ambassador Dr Chanita Foster of the United States, globally respected for her humanitarian leadership and international development work; Dr Vivian
Mokome, whose work in economic empowerment continues to advance leadership and social impact; and Mwanvita Makamba of Tanzania, founder of MMConnect, known for facilitating cross-border partnerships and enterprise collaboration across African markets.
The convening also included respected leaders such as Lenore Goss-Matjie, entrepreneur and image architect whose work continues to influence leadership and brand positioning
across the continent, and Fatima Joyce Packery, a prominent figure within Africa’s mineral and resources sector whose work in mining continues to contribute to conversations around responsible resource development and economic participation on the continent.
Leaders from across professional sectors were also present, including Sanelisiwe Ngcobo, a South African property law attorney whose work strengthens legal frameworks within the
real estate and development space, alongside entrepreneurs, investors, doctors and institutional leaders whose work continues to shape industries across Africa.
Together, the gathering created a rare environment where women influencing enterprise, policy, capital and governance could connect within a private and intentional setting.
Launch of W.O.W Africa Magazine
The evening also marked the official launch of W.O.W Africa Magazine, the digital publication of the platform, now live at:
www.wowafricamagazine.com
The publication serves as a continental platform highlighting leadership, entrepreneurship, governance and capital conversations emerging across Africa and its global diaspora.
Through W.O.W Africa Magazine, the platform aims to spotlight the individuals and institutions actively contributing to Africa’s long-term economic development.
The Formation of the W.O.W Africa Chamber 100
Following the Honour Circle, a select group of leaders reconvened on 9 March 2026 to initiate the formation of the W.O.W Africa Chamber 100.
The W.O.W Africa Chamber 100 is envisioned as a private global–Pan-African capital
authority platform, designed to convene a limited group of leaders operating across
enterprise, capital, governance and development sectors.
Participation in the Chamber is intentionally selective. While the W.O.W Africa 50 Women Honour Circle recognised leadership across industries, membership within the W.O.W Africa Chamber 100 is separate and continues to be confirmed among founding members.
The Chamber seeks to create an environment where leaders can align around opportunities that strengthen African enterprise, capital formation and continental collaboration.
The Broader W.O.W Africa Vision
The W.O.W Africa 50 Women Honour Circle, the launch of W.O.W Africa Magazine, and the formation of the W.O.W Africa Chamber 100 form part of the broader vision behind
Workshops of Wealth (W.O.W Africa).
The platform seeks to create environments where leaders across Africa and the global diaspora can connect around ideas, partnerships and capital capable of shaping the
continent’s economic future.
Reflecting on the initiative, founder Lelo N noted:
“W.O.W was created to recognise those who are actively building Africa’s future and to
create spaces where leadership, capital and collaboration can align.”
W.O.W Africa 50 Men Honour Circle – June 2026
Following the success of the women’s gathering, preparations are now underway for the W.O.W Africa 50 Men Honour Circle, scheduled to take place on 6 June 2026.
The upcoming convening will recognise a select group of men whose leadership reflects stewardship, responsibility and a commitment to building institutions that strengthen
Africa’s economic future.
These are men who build enterprises, steward capital and champion the advancement of women, families and communities across the continent.
Strategic Partnerships and Institutional Alignment
As W.O.W Africa continues to expand as a global–Pan-African leadership platform, opportunities exist for organisations seeking to align with the movement through strategic
partnerships and sponsorships.
