Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has proposed a N705.794 billion budget for 2026, named the “Budget of Economic Transformation,” in line with the state’s Fiscal Responsibility Law. The budget allocates ₦317.414 billion for recurrent expenditure (45%) and ₦388.380 billion for capital expenditure (55%). Recurrent spending includes ₦135.006 billion for personnel costs and ₦182.409 billion for overheads. Funding will come from FAAC allocations, independent revenue, and other receipts. Assembly Speaker Adewale Egbedun praised the governor’s transparency and committed to ensuring allocations serve the public effectively for sustainable development.
