The British Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, Jonny Baxter, reaffirmed the UK’s commitment to strengthening trade relations with Nigeria during the launch of the UK-Nigeria Economic Diversification Working Group Dialogue. This initiative follows the Developing Countries Trading Scheme (DCTS) Roadshow and aims to enhance economic collaboration. The dialogue, involving government officials and trade experts, focuses on growing Nigeria’s non-oil sectors like agriculture, manufacturing, and digital services. The DCTS will provide tariff reductions for over 3,000 Nigerian products, promoting sustainable economic growth and supporting Nigerian exporters, as emphasized by both Baxter and Nigerian officials.
