Wike, in a statement issued on Wednesday by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, said Tinubu’s intervention reflects his “total commitment to democratic governance and national stability.”

According to him, the President’s action not only saved Rivers State from prolonged political turmoil but also reassured its citizens of his dedication to peace, progress, and development.

“The President has once again shown proactive leadership that restores confidence in his administration. His move has brought relief to the people of Rivers State,” Wike noted.

The former Rivers governor also praised the residents of the state for standing by Tinubu during the crisis, adding that their support is vital to the government’s ongoing reforms.

Wike urged all political stakeholders to work together harmoniously for the collective interest of the state and warned “fifth columnists” and troublemakers to desist from exploiting conflicts for selfish gains.

“From Rivers State going forward, the only news that will emanate will be that of peace, progress, and development,” he declared.
